Questions for Cardholders:

I lost or damaged my card... 

If your card has been lost, stolen or damaged, you will need to request a new one. This can be done by your company's Employer Admin user. In the meantime, you can still use your virtual card or request one by creating an account for mySkillGuard.

My card has been cancelled... 

On the 1st of November 2022, only active records were transferred over to SkillGuard for Utilities. If you were not active at that time, it is possible your card may have been cancelled. You will need to be re-added to the system by your company's Employer Admin user. 

 

Questions for Access Controllers:

I am an Access Controller and the SkillGuard 5 app isn't working... 

If you downloaded the SkillGuard 5 app before the launch of SkillGuard for Utilities on November 1st 2022, then you will need to redownload the app and follow the authentication steps.  

I am an Access Controller and I can't authenticate using my QR code.... 

If you currently hold an existing physical card from the old Thames Water Safety Passport system then you will not be able to use the QR code on your card to authenticate the SkillGuard 5 app. You can continue to use both NFC and the QR code to have your record checked. 

To authenticate the app, use the QR code on the SkillGuard for Utilities website.
